KATHRINE SWITZER

She practices athletics.
She was the first woman to run a marathon with dorsal (a test that was just for male athletes) in the Boston marathon of 1967.
In the race, one of the organizers, who was co-director of the race, detected that Kathrine Switzer was a woman, so he tried to stop her, and shouted: "Get out of here. my race and give me back the number! " But thanks to her boyfriend and some runners, she could finish the race without any dangers.
Switzer won the 1974 New York Marathon and finished second in the 1975 Boston Marathon.

Ms. McKennitt’s ‘eclectic Celtic’ music has received critical acclaim world-wide, and gold, platinum and multi-platinum sales awards in 15 countries across four continents. To date, she has sold over 14 million albums . She’s won two Junos, Canada’s premiere music award, and has performed for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

No, there are other influences. She has been influenced by other cultures of different cities and countries like Venice, Hungary, Ukraine, Spain and some places in Asia.

D- Who is Pamela Wyn Shannon? (2 or 3 lines are enough).

Pamela Wyn Shannon (born 1975/1976), originally from the United States, is a singer of country and singing singers, originally from the United States, but has now moved from Amherst, Massachusetts and lives in the Gwynfryn, near Wrexham with his partner Eifion Wyn Williams. They perform in Welsh occasionally as a duo.

I feel relaxed and happy with this song because It sounds hipnotizing,melodic and her voice is very beautyful. 

G- Do some research about the poem The Unquiet Grave which this song is based on, and answer these questions: what is the main topic of the song? Do you like the story? Why or why not?

"The Unquiet Grave" is an English folk song in which a young man cries his dead love. I like the topic and the story because it talks about the broken heart of a man who misses his love.

H- Where do they (Gwendal) come from?

The Gwendall come from Brittany (France).

I- Open your mind and let your imagination fly free!! : what does this music (Gwendal) transmit to you? (3 or 4 lines are enough).

This music transmits me energy, happiness,and helps me to forget my worries. I also like it because it´s different (from what we aren´t used to listen) and I like to enjoy and discover differents music styles.

SHAKESPEARE IN LOVE summary

1.Main characters:
William Shakespeare (Joseph Fiennes) is a player in the Lord Chamberlain's Men and playwright for Philip Henslowe, owner of The Rose Theatre.
Viola de Lesseps (Gwyneth Paltrow) ,who has seen Shakespeare's plays at court, goes to an audition dressing up asa man named Thomas Kent. The Queen Elisabeth (Judi Dench)

2.Romeo & Juliet and the film:
Romeo and Juliet is a tragedy written by William Shakespeare, written circa 1597, about two young lovers whose families are faced. This work is one of his most frequently performed plays. 

Shakespeare in Love is a 1998 American romantic period comedy-drama film directed by John Madden, written by Marc Norman and playwright Tom Stoppard. The talks about an imaginary love affair involving Viola de Lesseps (Gwyneth Paltrow) and playwright William Shakespeare (Joseph Fiennes) while he was writing Romeo and Juliet. Several characters are based on historical figures, and many of the characters remembers to Shakespeare's plays.

3.The theatre of the age:

Acting during the 16th Century was not a respected profession. Women were not permitted to act until after 1660. The most notorious playwright in the history of theater William Shakespeare, in just 23 years of his life he is attributed with writing 38 plays. Some of Shakespeare's most famous plays are Hamlet, Romeo and Juliet. During this time plays were still presented in open air theaters or other times presented at court. Some notable play writers during this time: William Shakespeare Christopher Marlowe Ben Johnson. Playhouses were not constructed in London until 1576. Acting was not highly paid or respected. If the audience did not like the play, then could throw rotten produce on the stage. 

4.The society/history of the age:
The 16th century was a period of economic expansion. This expansion played a major role in the many other transformations—social, political, and cultural—. A time of exploration, invention, creativity and discovery.Spain and Portugal explored the world's seas and opened worldwide oceanic trade routes. 

5.The Queen:
Elizabeth I was the Queen of England and Ireland Queen of England and Ireland from 17 November 1558 until her death on 24 March 1603. Sometimes called The Virgin Queen, Gloriana or Good Queen Bess, Elizabeth was the last monarch of the House of Tudor. 

Elizabeth's reign is known as the Elizabethan era. The period is famous for the flourishing of English drama, with some famous playwrights such as William Shakespeare and Christopher Marlowe. Some historians depict Elizabeth as a short-tempered.
