KATHRINE SWITZER

She practices athletics.
She was the first woman to run a marathon with dorsal (a test that was just for male athletes) in the Boston marathon of 1967.
In the race, one of the organizers, who was co-director of the race, detected that Kathrine Switzer was a woman, so he tried to stop her, and shouted: "Get out of here. my race and give me back the number! " But thanks to her boyfriend and some runners, she could finish the race without any dangers.
Switzer won the 1974 New York Marathon and finished second in the 1975 Boston Marathon. 

"All you need is the courage to believe in yourself and put one foot in front of the other."
