SONG:

Apart from being a song, it is the ninth studio album of the British rock band Pink Floyd, released in September 1975.


GROUP:
Pink Floyd was a British rock band, considered a cultural icon of the twentieth century, gained great popularity thanks to its psychedelic music that evolved into progressive rock over time. Their sales surpass the 300 million albums sold worldwide. The group consisted of drummer Nick Mason, keyboardist and vocalist Richard Wright, bassist and vocalist Roger Waters and lead guitarist and vocalist Syd Barrett, who became the first leader David Gilmour joined the group in December 1967, replacing Syd Barret


THEME:
His theme explores the absence, the music industry and the mental problems of the previous member of the band, Syd Barrett.



GENDER:
The genre of this song is "progressive rock". As in their previous album, The Dark Side of the Moon, the band used different sound effects and synthesizers, softened with the acoustic guitar, They also used wine glasses filled with different amounts of fluids to record a series of sounds by running their finger along the edges of them.

SELF-ASSESMENT (Music)

1- What can I do that I couldn't do before?
    I think that nothing.
2- What do I like most?
    To sing and learnt (lyrics of) songs.
3- What do I do well?
    I did well the exersices that michael proposed us
4- What am I confused about?
    Mabey sometimes with the rythems.
5- What do I need help with?
    Nothing.
6- What do I do in English and/or Music outside the class?
    I go to personal english classes, and I used to go to piano classes.
7- What do I need to improve?
    Mabey I should study more for the exam because I think that i can do them better.8- What did I learn about culture?
    I learnt a lot of culture, but in particular i remember (or like), the history of some          instruments like the piano, violin and so on...
9- What about Marcos (Music teaching and so on)?
   I think that he teach us in a correct way and i like his way, because i think it´s a little bit diferent from others teachers.
