SCARBOROUGH FAIR

1) Work on the vocabulary and the pronunciation in English classes.
We did the last class of a competition of pronunciation, it was very usefull.

2) Watch to “21 Versions of Scarborough Fair” in Youtube. Analyze the remarkable aspects of the song (style, history, use of English, and so on).
Scarborough Fair is a traditional English song by an unknown author. It has been covered on many occasions and perhaps the most popular is the duo Simon and Garfunkel. It is often sing in the form of a duet with the male and female voices.

3)  Do some research (but not in depth) on the song, about some of the musicians of the 21 versions, etc.
I choosed the version of the Gothard sisters, are three American who perform Celtic music and choreographed accompanying Irish dance.Greta, Willow, and Solana Gothard, are violinists, singers, and championship dancers, The trio has released several albums.

 4) Write down new third and fourth stanzas in order to fit in with the musical structure. Each teacher (English and music) will evaluate their corresponding items.

Love is eternal and my love is forever
feel my heart wherever you go
your eyes are free but your heart is blind
let me show tou the light of the love
the light of the love, the light of the love ...

Yes i am going to scarborough fair,
a long ride into the woods
but that don´t matter if it´s to see you,
i will wait you until you come,
until you come, until you come...

       ACUSTIC AND ELECTRIC GUITAR

Can you feel the differences in the sound?

The Acoustic guitar has a metallic sound, the Spanish one has a clear sound and, the electric guitar is more used to the rock, and strong sounds.

Do you know the main reason for these differences?

The electric guitar has no resonance box or drawer (known colloquially as "hoyito" and the acoustic one does.
The electric ones are more used for the rock, metal and strong sounds unlike the acoustic ones that are more used for pop or ballads in general. The way to grab them is different, since the acoustics usually touch while we are sitting and the electric is enough to put a type of rope to hang it.

                 MUSICAL  DILEMMAS

The guitar and the violin... really enemies?

I don't think so just because they are from differents or opposite types of music, you can hear them at the same time and they aren´t going to sound bad

It´s just the violin for girls and the guitar just for boys?

I don´t really think that the music by itself it has to be separate by genders it´s just a way to communicate something, or just for have a hobbie but the fact it´s that you can´t put gender to the music or even the instrument, so just in my opinion you can play or listen what you want.
